She was also instrumental in setting up Mungabereena Aboriginal Co-operative that has just celebrated its 20 year anniversary.
Pam Griffin's A Mother's Story is about four sons maturing and leaving home one by one to create a life for themselves. Their mother accepted and understood as that is the way it should be. As the months and years went by, the mother became lonely, sad and felt abandoned. She yearned for her sons but wished them well and tried to understand and make excuses for their lack of contact. Her one hope is that one day they will realise that you only have one mother and will care enough to come home. And until then, she waits.
